<p>A fast-growing renewable-energy storage company headquartered in Abu Dhabi is hiring its first Director of Engineering. This is a foundational leadership hire reporting to the CEO and joining the executive team.</p><h3>What you will own</h3><ul><li>Build and scale the engineering organisation from 25 to 80 engineers over the next 24 months.</li><li>Set the technical roadmap for grid-scale battery storage products and the supporting digital platform.</li><li>Own the company's engineering culture, hiring practices, and performance frameworks.</li><li>Partner with the COO on supply-chain reliability, manufacturing partnerships, and field deployment quality.</li></ul><h3>What we need</h3><ul><li>15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multi-team organisations.</li><li>Track record building or scaling engineering organisations through significant growth.</li><li>Background in energy, hardware-software systems, or industrial technology preferred.</li><li>Comfort operating at the executive level — board presentations, investor diligence, strategic partnerships.</li></ul><p><strong>Location:</strong> Abu Dhabi, UAE. Office-based with monthly partner-site visits in the GCC.<br><strong>Compensation:</strong> Executive package — AED 95,000 – 130,000 base + equity + standard executive benefits. Negotiable for the right candidate.</p>
