Our Team

ITEF is built by the people who turn up — engineers, scientists, technologists, and industry leaders of Tamil heritage spread across the globe, each contributing their time, expertise, and networks to a Forum that has grown to span six countries and counting.

Office Bearers

The Office Bearers carry day-to-day responsibility for running the Forum. They are elected by the General Body for a three-year term, receive no remuneration, and balance their ITEF service with active engineering careers in industry, academia, and public-sector practice. The full current slate — Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Secretary, and Executive Director — is published on the Leadership page.

Chapter Leadership

Every active chapter is led by a Chapter Chair, Chapter Secretary, and Chapter Treasurer. They run local programmes, host monthly member meets, organise the chapter's contribution to the global conference rotation, and act as the first point of contact for new members in the region.

Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is a small group of senior practitioners and former office bearers who advise on long-range strategy, dispute resolution, and matters of professional ethics. The Council convenes twice a year and is consulted before any major constitutional or strategic decision.

Volunteers and committees

Behind every visible programme is a network of volunteer members serving on standing committees and working groups — Programmes, Membership, Finance, Editorial, Mentorship, and the various conference and award committees. The Forum runs on this volunteer effort; if you would like to contribute, browse open roles on the Volunteer page.

Secretariat

A small permanent secretariat handles administration, member support, and member services across time zones. The secretariat is the team most members interact with for membership renewals, event registration, and document requests, and can be reached through the contact details on the Contact page.
