Chapter Organization Chart
Chapter Organization Chart
Each ITEF country chapter follows the same simple operating structure. Consistency across chapters makes it easy for members to engage wherever they live, work, or travel, and gives the Global Executive Committee a clear line of accountability into every region.
Chapter office bearers
Every chapter elects three office bearers from among its paid-up members:
- Chapter Chair — sets the chapter's annual programme of work, chairs chapter meetings, and represents the chapter at the Global Executive Committee.
- Chapter Secretary — handles communication with members, the secretariat, and external partners; maintains the chapter member roll.
- Chapter Treasurer — manages the chapter's bank account and prepares the chapter's annual financial report.
Chapter office bearers serve a two-year term and can be re-elected once. Election results are ratified by the Global Executive Committee before they take effect.
Chapter working groups
Within each chapter, members self-organise into working groups around shared interests — typically Events & Outreach, Mentorship & Careers, Technical Programmes, and Social & Cultural. Working groups operate informally; any member can join, and group conveners report into the Chapter Chair.
Relationship to the Global tier
Chapter Chairs hold ex-officio seats on the Global Executive Committee. Strategic decisions taken at the Global level flow to chapters through the Chairs; local concerns and on-the-ground feedback flow back through the same channel. Quarterly Chapter Chair meetings ensure every chapter has a direct voice in cross-Forum decisions.
Sub-chapters
Within larger chapters — for example a country chapter that spans multiple cities — sub-chapters may be chartered, each with its own convener reporting to the Chapter Chair. The current chapter directory, including any sub-chapters, is published on the Chapters page.
