Engineering Leadership Workshop — From Manager to Director

The Engineering Leadership Workshop is ITEF's flagship leadership programme — a two-day intensive specifically designed for senior engineers transitioning into Director and VP-level roles within the GCC.

What you will work on

• The technical-to-commercial transition. Why most senior engineers stall at this gate, and the specific habits that make for a successful crossing.
• Board governance for engineering leaders. What to expect when first joining a board, how engineering decisions get framed for non-technical directors, and how to add value beyond your operational lane.
• Managing distributed engineering teams. Practical frameworks for leading teams split across the GCC, India, and remote-first contractors.
• Strategic communication. Quarterly board updates, regulatory liaison, media handling for senior engineers.

Format

Two consecutive days. Morning sessions cover frameworks; afternoon sessions are case-study-driven with peer working groups. Each participant works through a real leadership challenge they are facing and receives structured feedback from facilitators and peers.

Cohort size: limited to 30 participants to enable depth.
Investment: Free for Enterprise-tier ITEF members. AED 2,500 for Professional-tier members. Non-member professionals may apply at AED 4,500 subject to space.
