The International Tamil Engineers Forum hosted its 2026 GCC Cultural Evening at the Crowne Plaza Kuwait City, drawing more than two hundred engineering professionals, family members, and partner organisations for a night of community, music, and conversation.

The event opened with a performance by acclaimed Tamil playback artist Shakthisree Gopalan, whose set blended classical foundations with contemporary compositions — a fitting metaphor for the forum's own balance of heritage and modernity.

Between performances, the ITEF Secretariat delivered short briefings on the upcoming year:

• GCC Connect 2026 flagship summit — registration opens Q3, with a target of 800+ attendees across four GCC capitals.
• Mentorship programme expansion — pairing senior engineers with early-career members entering the GCC workforce.
• Chapter elections — Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain chapters all transitioning to elected leadership in 2026.

"What makes ITEF different is that we are not just a networking organisation — we are a community," said the forum's Managing Director in closing remarks. "Tonight reminded all of us why that matters."

The Cultural Evening has become an annual fixture in the ITEF calendar, rotating between GCC capitals. The 2027 edition will be hosted in Riyadh.
